A History of

Creativity

Born in Benson, NC

Benton Print started as Benton Card Company. Our founder started producing movie posters called “window cards” in 1948 right in the heart of downtown Benson, North Carolina. To create these window cards, our local designers would arrange letterpress, hand-painted graphics, and cutouts from material provided by film studios to create original works of art. Each of these posters was called a “card.”

If you think about it, this is the original way graphic design was done and it’s where we got our start. Our attic was the origin of many vintage prints, posters, and artwork

We still honor our history with The Attic while we pursue our future on the main floor. When you walk through our doors, you’ll see that we have prioritized keeping up with the times as letterpress made way for digital printers, movie posters made way for digital ads, and mixed media made way for Photoshop.

Nearly 80 years later, innovation is still at the center of everything we do. As culture has shifted towards digital, Benton Print wants to use creativity to help increase your visibility.

You can take history home with you by visiting The Attic. It’s our collection of antiques and one-of-a-kind apparel from film, television, movies, and print.
